1. Overview

A Journey of 12 Months (“the app”) is a devotional reading application. We respect your privacy. The app is designed to work fully offline and does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information with us or any third party.

2. Information the app does NOT collect

We do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of the following:

Personal identifiers (name, email, phone, address)
Account credentials
Precise or approximate location
Contacts, calendar, SMS, call logs, or photos
Advertising identifiers
Analytics or crash data
Device identifiers (IMEI, MAC, advertising ID)
Biometric data
Financial or payment data
Health or fitness data

The app does not include third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or marketing SDKs.

3. Information stored locally on your device

To deliver the reading experience, the app stores the following only on your device, in a local database and app preferences:

Your reading progress (which month/reading you last opened).
Your saved/bookmarked readings.
Your reading preferences (theme, text scale, Geez font selection).
Your daily reminder time, if you enable reminders.

This data never leaves your device. We have no servers, no cloud account, and no way to access it.

4. Permissions used and why

Permission	Purpose
`POST_NOTIFICATIONS`	Show your daily devotional reminder if you enable it.
`SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM`	Trigger the reminder at the exact time you choose. If not granted, the app falls back to an inexact reminder.
`RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED`	Restore your scheduled reminder after the device restarts.

The app does not request location, camera, microphone, contacts, storage scanning, or any other sensitive permission.

5. Network use

The app's devotional content is bundled in the app and works offline. The app does not call any backend service.

The app provides optional external links in the “About Us” section (developer email, developer phone, and other apps on Google Play). Tapping those links opens your installed email app, phone dialer, or Google Play. Once you leave the app, those external services' own privacy policies apply.

6. Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. The content is suitable for general audiences. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information to us, contact us — we will confirm there is nothing for us to delete because we do not collect or store anything off-device.

7. Data retention and deletion

Because all app data is stored only on your device:

To delete reading progress, settings, and reminders, uninstall the app or use Settings → Apps → A Journey of 12 Months → Storage → Clear data.
Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data created by the app.

We have no remote copy to delete.

8. Security

Data stays on your device and is protected by Android's standard app sandboxing. We recommend keeping your device updated and using a screen lock.

9. Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, if changes are material, mention them in the app's release notes.
